Seaman is a human, stay on water, most ignored profession after carrying 90% of world cargo. Every one at land thing that very rich profession, so that corruption and cheating is high here. That our life. V are still fighting for our needs after huge salary....

Life at sea is tough these days, not only because of perils that normally are at sea but also because of shore staff who just mess around to gain some points or bonus ... Such one's are mostly those who left sea prior completing 10 years (gross) of command or 10 years sailing as a CE. These are the ones who mostly are the problem makers for sailors as per my experiences... Those who have sailed beyond 10 years in command or as ce, are the better ones that I could rely on for advice in need. But just follow the following as a captain and chief engineer ... I write this basis my experiences at sea and hope it helps my fellow sailors (captain and chief engineers and all others) .... 01 ... Irrespective of commercial or operational pressures, crew always first. 02 ... Navigation is an art, do it slowly. 03 ... Ce runs the ship, Capt is the silent witness (I mean Atman) ... If you follow this, then no deck engine problems ever. 04 ... There cannot be two captains on board ... ship will ...
International maritime Organization IMO's prime occupations: 1- How to add more annex in Marpol. 2- Explore more foolish and meaningless regulations like compulsory retrofit installation of Ballast water treatment plants ( hand in gloves with installation companies ) 3- How to make MLC more useless by expanding on meaningless rituals like flag state complaint procedures. 4- How to make PSC inspections more and more ridiculous by adding new creative impossible regulations for ships crew and owners harassment. 5- Planning the next disastrous big regulation after the super flop IMO 2020 which filled the pockets of crony capitalist scrubber installation companies and shipyards. 6- where to organise the next super ball in five stars to discuss the plight of seafarers and ensure that no solution is found.
A Mariner signed off from merchant ship at sikka port, Gujrat and went to quarantine for 14 days in Jamnagar. After completion of quarantine period he got medical certificate and apply for e pass as per MHA Govt of India, vied Oder no 40-3/2020-DM-I. e-Pass No. has been issued to him and started travel fromJamnagar to his home state by car. When He reached my state border check post, the Police person not allow me to enter my state and said that they will not entertain such e pass. They will allow only if supdt of police of the districts orderd them. I stuck in the middle of the road near checked post as He was not able to communucate with SP of the district. he try to communicat to my local police staion but nobody is bother of e pass. He does not know what to do now and surely he would fall sick if stuck on the road. He request those police personal several time and show the govt order but they are so rude to me in behaviour that he was a criminal not a seaman...
